Armanda J Mesidor (AJ Mesidor for short) is a 23 year old American of Haitian Decent aspiring R&B/ Pop/ Gospel artist here in Miami, FL. She started singing at age 3, and it was magic the moment she opened her mouth and picked up a microphone. At age 11, she performed in her first gospel talent show and won third place in the competition, she has been working to improve her voice ever since. Throughout the years she has performed at many competitions, school functions, wedding/events, funerals, and shows. In 2013, AJ won the Gospel Artiste of 2013’s ‘People’s Choice award’ at a competition hosted by Visions International Church. On stage, this artist is electrifying, she captivates the attention of the audience the moment she steps onto the stage until the moment she leave. Her music is about having the strength to live life, opening your heart to love, and learning from your mistakes. Her music has strong melodies and vocal parts, a youthful, soulful sound with a hint of attitude and spunk which are a direct reflection of her influences Jessie J, Demi Lovato, John Legend, Jordan Sparks, and Alicia Keys.
A recent graduate from Miami-Dade College with an Associate’s Degree in Music Business, she has received the proper training in Sightseeing, ear training, theory, vocal ensemble training, as well as individual voice lessons to improve her sound and abilities. AJ has worked as a voice Teacher at Critical Recording Studio in Miami, FL and is proud to have just released an EP (“Extended Play”) of four songs entitled “Strong” on SoundCloud.com
